Some say that acupuncture is nothing more than a way to tap into one's own healing abilities. I tend to agree with this. Our bodies are amazing machines that are capable of wondrous things. If someone can lift a car off of their child, I'm sure it's no major feat to cure your own cold. Just think, for a moment, of all the times that you thought yourself well. Whether it was refusing to give in to illness during a major event, or fast-forwarding your progression through a serious illness with positive thinking, we are constantly taking charge of our health...even if we aren't consciously aware of it. And, as with everything, there is also the flip-side. Remember the last time you spent a good chunk of time with a sick friend? How did you feel afterward? Even if you didn't develop a full-blown plague, you probably felt pretty run-down after your visit, didn't you? Why wouldn't you? After all, you just spent a few hours thinking yourself sick.
When I hypnotize clients, so often I hear them say afterward, "It worked, but I don't know if it was you, or just me." Newsflash: it's always you. I am just the person handing you the tools; you are the one who uses these tools to create the changes that you want. When it comes down to it, all healing is self-healing.
I love what I do, mostly because I am lucky enough to spend my day helping people tap into their full potential, in every day. There are no limits here. If you desire change, it will happen.
