Lately, I've been seeing more and more coincidences take place in my life...although I'm really starting to doubt that coincidence even exists! I feel like certain people are getting sucked into my life, by some magnetic force. I don't know if it's my new focus on manifestation, or something else, but I love the randomness of it all! Since running my coupon promotions, I have met the greatest patients. Each one has been a gift. I know that many of my acupuncture friends despise the coupon route, claiming that it brings in bargain shoppers who will never return, but I have had truly wonderful people coming through the door, people who I never would have had the opportunity to meet if I hadn't run these promotions. For some of these people, acupuncture has been nothing short of life-changing. It's been so gratifying to see people making huge strides toward better health after seeing some long-awaited positive changes. The more people I meet, the more I realize that there is some reason why they walked through my door, rather than one of the 500 other acupuncturists in my area. Quite simply, I feel as if most of these people are supposed to be here.
And then there is this: one of my friends, who is a VERY talented psychic, informed me the other day that I need to get certified in 3rd degree Reiki. Now, I am certified in 1st and 2nd degree, but I had no desire to go further. I have gotten a lot out of these two certifications, but I do not want to focus my practice on Reiki, so I felt that 2nd degree was more than sufficient. She insisted that this was a necessary step, and that it would happen. I took this in, and let it fade into the background of my mind, where a million other things were going on.
A few days later, I was working at the restaurant and saw two of my favorite customers. These women have been coming in for years, and I liked them at first sight (which is unusual for me; when I am working in the restaurant, I tend to be very polite but distant. I don't normally bond with my tables.) They seemed to feel the same, as they always went out of their way to request me as their waitress. Although I have known them a while, we don't know anything about each other outside of the restaurant. As I was taking their orders, one of them asked what my "day job" is. I told them I was an acupuncturist, and guess what? As it turns out, one of them is an energy healer. "Let me guess," I said, smiling. "You teach Reiki, right?"
Of course she did.
"Of course you do," I said. "Lately my life has been one crazy series of coincidences, and this is just another one."
"Oh, you know this is no coincidence," she replied. "This...and everything else that's been going on...is all supposed to happen. There is no such thing as coincidence."
Looking back over the past few months, I have to agree with her.
