Acupuncture Wayland

As I drove through Wayland’s center today, it struck me how fortuitous it was that I opened my first office there. I had always assumed that I would move back to Connecticut, and when I think of the chain of circumstances that led me to the acupuncture practice I run today, I’m grateful to have met the perfect people at the perfect time.

IT’S HARD TO ENVISION THE LIFE I LIVED BEFORE BECOMING AN ACUPUNCTURIST

When I think back to how my business began, I remember feeling so lost and fearful about whether I could start a business on my own. I had no background in business. All I had was my acupuncture license, a dream, and determination. I had heard, over and over, that it was impossible to make a living as an acupuncturist. Most of my colleagues who WERE successful were already running thriving businesses in different fields. I didn’t even know how to create a spreadsheet. Yet, I had a burning desire to create something bigger than myself. I wanted the freedom to design the life I wanted to live.

BECOMING AN ACUPUNCTURIST WAS THE EASY PART…

The hard part was understanding all the other pieces of what it takes to become an entrepreneur. I felt confident in my skills, but that was only a small piece of the puzzle. There were SO many other things to think about, from marketing, to taking payments, to scheduling. Every time I learned something new, it seemed like another twenty things would crop up that I’d need to figure out in order to make my business run smoothly.

I’M SO GRATEFUL FOR THE HELP I RECEIVED ALONG THE WAY, AS I GREW AND FLOURISHED AS A PROFESSIONAL ACUPUNCTURIST

Before moving back home, I decided to visit a few spaces to see what was out there. My very first visit brought me to Wayland’s most popular esthetician. This business owner supported me in every possible way as I learned how to support myself as an acupuncturist. She never failed to give me advice and cheerleading as I grew, and I promised myself that one day I would do the same for other new entrepreneurs. Today, I love reaching out and offering support and guidance to those that are where I once was. It is SO rewarding! Click here to learn about all of our services.
